This is an (incomplete) list of Digital Equipment Corporation VAX computers and specifications. Compiled by abs@NetBSD.org with much help from port-vax@NetBSD.org users.

This is very much still a work in progress - many sections are little more than placeholders. Having said that, there should be enough here to prove useful.

BSD daemon

Alias: Q5 Dimensions: 66 x 106 x 92cm (WxHxD) (19" rack)
Bus details: Same as two BA23s Drive bays: Same as two BA23, plus two 10" rackmount disk devices
Power supply: Power conditioner unit with 6 switched standard 110V AC outlets, and 2 unswitched ones. The cabinet works with 110/220V single phase and plugs into an L5-30R receptacle (twist lock).

Notes: H9642 cabinet, two BA23 type units together with linked Q-bus backplane and external PSU in middle, two 10" rackmount disk/tape units (such as RA81 and TS05), one above and one below the BA23s

Notes: A real 'pizza box', metall chassis with an outer shell of plastic, can be opened without any tools.

Notes: Typically /GPX (VCB01 or VCB02) installed, DHV-11, RQDX3, DEQNA, TK50 and up to two RD54s and a RX50. If the RX50 was pulled there was space for up to 4 rd54s. Typical ram was three 4meg cards for 13mb but systems with 16mb were not uncommon. 3 slots with PMI (processor-memory interconnect) in rows CD, enough for CPU and two memory modules.
