Team ASA Single Board Computers (top)

Team ASA, Inc. designs and develops high-speed networking communications solutions for the Networking and Storage industry. See this link for more information.

Npwr SBC

The Npwr single board computers are designed for manufacturers and OEMs in the Network Attached Storage (NAS), RAID, iSCSI and Personal Server marketplaces. They are powered by the Intel XScale 64 bit RISC processor with clock rates reaching as high as 733 MHz.

The Npwr boards include a

  • Intel XScale 80200 with 80312 Companion Chip (466, 600, and 733 MHz)
  • 128-512 Megabytes SDRAM
  • a 4 (32 opt.) Mbyte Flash ROM,
  • Real Time Clock
  • 19 Bit External Timer / Counter
  • Dual Gbit Ethernet interface
  • a high performance 320/160 Mbyte/s, PCI 64 bit wide SCSI interface.

The Npwr form factor takes only a half height 5.25 slot on any external box or CPU case. The Npwr can be used as a stand-alone NetBSD or Linux server and an embedded RAID controller. Multiple units can be used to implement Linux clustered servers. Other Npwr applications include iSCSI controller, NAS Controller and Firewall/Router.

Npwr-FC SBC

The newest model, Npwr-FC, will be available at the end of 2002 and will allow to connect storage area networks with iSCSI via TCP/IP.
